Welcome

Welcome to The Bungalow in Long Beach, a small yet thoughtfully designed and appointed Arts and Crafts dwelling built in 1923. Un-hotel. Set yourself apart from the hotel crowd, and experience a part of early 20th-century American architectural history!

Our authentic California bungalow offers a refreshing alternative to the often impersonal corporate hotel. Enjoy the warmth and enchantment of an old house that has been lovingly restored and newly updated with modern amenities.

During its most recent remodel, we took the utmost care to preserve the charm and character that define this two-bedroom, one-bathroom “mother-in-law” unit. You’ll be pleased to find intact many of its original vintage features such as built-in cabinetry and period tiling in the kitchen and bathroom, and original hardwood floors throughout the house.

At the same time, you’ll be pleased to find new and comfortable modern furniture to complement The Bungalow's distinctly retro decor and interior. Though characteristically modest in size, this Craftsman house excels in its thoughtful architecture and well-utilized spaces.

A pleasant garden with an outdoor patio just for The Bungalow is an added bonus. This outdoor extension of your living space is the ideal place to relax, read, have a coffee in the morning, or enjoy a cocktail at night. Your patio space is beautifully lit at night, just like the rest of the property surrounding The Bungalow. Relish this special garden, whether on your own or with travel companions!

We think The Bungalow in Long Beach is a gem, and we hope that you will, too!
